Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Guardian Fire Systems, Inc. ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") for fire protection services, you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not engage our services.

2. Services Provided

Guardian Fire Systems provides professional fire protection services including but not limited to:

  • Fire sprinkler system installation, inspection, and repair
  • Fire alarm system installation, inspection, and monitoring
  • Fire extinguisher testing and service
  • Backflow testing and prevention
  • Special hazard fire suppression systems
  • Fire hydrant testing, installation, and repairs
  • 24-hour emergency response services
  • Underground fire service installation and repairs

3. Licensing and Compliance

Guardian Fire Systems is a licensed fire protection contractor in the state of Indiana. All work performed complies with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including NFPA standards. We maintain appropriate insurance coverage and certifications required for our services.

4. Quotes and Contracts

All quotes are estimates based on information provided and site conditions at the time of inspection. Final pricing may vary based on actual conditions, change orders, or additional work required. Written contracts will specify the scope of work, pricing, and terms specific to each project.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in individual contracts. Generally:

  • Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise specified
  • Late payments may incur interest charges at 1.5% per month
  • Client is responsible for all collection costs and attorney fees for delinquent accounts
  • Emergency services may require immediate payment or payment on completion

6. Warranties and Guarantees

We warrant our workmanship for a period of one (1) year from completion. Equipment warranties are as provided by manufacturers. We guarantee compliance with applicable codes and standards at the time of installation.

7. Emergency Services

Our 24-hour emergency response service is available for critical fire protection system failures. Emergency calls may incur premium rates. Response times may vary based on weather, traffic, and technician availability.

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about site conditions and requirements
  • Ensuring safe and reasonable access to work areas
  • Obtaining necessary permits where required
  • Maintaining systems according to manufacturer and regulatory requirements
  • Scheduling regular inspections and maintenance as required by law

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of correcting defective work. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for services performed.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, government actions, labor disputes, material shortages, or pandemic-related restrictions.

11. Cancellation Policy

Service appointments may be cancelled with 24-hours notice. Emergency service calls are subject to minimum charges if cancelled within 2 hours of scheduled arrival. Installation projects may be cancelled according to terms specified in individual contracts.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The prevailing party shall be entitled to attorney fees and costs.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Adams County, Indiana.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
